A Star's Journey
June 10, 2020
There is light,
Gleaming across the universe.
It glimmers;
It consumes.
A star is born,
Through an interstellar eruption.
Across the sky,
A beacon protrudes.
It will cast great light
Upon a world in need.
Shining with ferocity,
The trail of illumination persists.
It goes on and on;
Even after the star implodes,
Meeting its end.
That star’s source,
In the night sky,
It is gone.
However,
Spitefully,
It casts its light upon Earth.
The star gleams.
It is a graceful reminder,
That the star was once there,
But now it is not.
Even though it has perished,
The night sky glints,
From the light of a dead star.
