Honesty

Honesty 

is the best policy 

I think too many people

in this world

lie 

to get by

It’s hard to 

be vulnerable 

and let someone in 

But do you want to live

your whole life

in fear 

of being hurt?

It’s sad that people 

don’t understand 

and can’t see 

that by being closed up

and unavailable 

You are letting fear control your life

Open your heart

let people in 

Sometimes it’s not always the best outcome

but you will no longer

live in fear.
