Minorities Not Included

by Arianna Garcia

You preach so loudly for the diversity

Our country is so proud of.

The foundation of our nation

So unique and intricate.

Shelter and home of the immigrants.

But why the continuous racism?

And why the prejudice against minorities?

Or the police cuffing the colored wrists

While the white fists are left untouched?

Where is the unification our country embodies?

Inclusive only to the ones you deem worthy, I presume.

We are all fighting for freedom,

The equality we are all so deserving of,

And the pursuit of happiness

So intensely advocated in the Declaration.

Let us come together as one to show our

Red, white and blue.
