Who am I to become?

When i was older
Taking a step back into my future
Who I am to become 
Has everything to do with who I am now 
Who i choose to be around me
Every turn and step 
Every yes and no
Is a puzzle piece of who i am to be
I build me
I build who I will be 
Don’t try to help me decide
Because you are not me 
And you will most definitely not make me into something i'm not
I won't let you control me
I won’t let you turn me into something i'm not
I won't let you turn me into an “achievement”
Or a medal you can place on the shelf
I will build me
And I will do it without you
